cooling fan turns on when the car is started, wont turn off and car im limp mode

I’ve a 2006 Astra H 1.4 sxi, recently the car has got a lot of work new timing chain, oil filter housing (as the last one was warped) same as the rocker cover, also had a new abs pump (as the revs and fuel gauges stopped working). About a week ago I started the car and the cooling fan turned on straight away and the car was cold, then when I drove it the car was in limp mode and also the light with a car and a spanner was on. A day later i got the car checked and a code saying ”P1122 throttle position sensor high low input” I  had the pedal changed still nothing, then changed the throttle body and that still didn’t fix it, I had it scanned for codes again and the same code was up but there was a second code saying EGR valve blocked, I took it off it didn’t look that bad and tried the car again but now the car with a spanner light is gone and now there is just a engine light but still have the problem with the fan and the car in limp mode i haven’t got the codes scanned since but would anyone know if there is a common fault with these or which part i should be looking at replacing as my mechanic isn’t sure what to do next as its on a tight budget ,
